I redid my playlist last night for work, and I got to reading titles and such from the bands I was copying over to my laptop and I just found this interesting....
I think the band Iced Earth has the larget number of songs tat correlate to action figures being releaed by TMP.
Off their album Dark Saga (see my avitar) - it is based off of the Span Mythos thorugh most of the somgs.

I'm not sure if I've heard any of their songs. Maybe I have, in passing. Nevertheless (hello), that is an interesting point of fact.
I relly should get around to listening to this band.
what would you compare them to?

Actually the first batch listed does bear
more than a passing resemblance to the Spawn mythos (Well the titles anyway) so let's see about some new names for this band

As to who to compare them to - I am not sure, they kind of ride ride between a lot of things - most simplistic of terms, take Iron Maiden and Megadeth and OLD Metallica, then mesh those together and you are close. The one thing I like about IE is their taking of a story and spreading it over a three song "opera" of sorts with thrash Power Metal. 30 minutes later and you have one long song complete that you just need to go back and listen to again and again.
Darth - they should seem like they match the Spawniverse - here is the blurb on their site:
